Why Donate to Nexus:

Nexus is a sanctuary for people to express themselves fully. To do that, we have systems that protect and support our rights. We are not a community focused on profit. We reinvest our finances back into our community as we try to balance paying closer to a living wage to our Executive Team, staff, artists, and all other folks who help to make this community thrive. Through art, education, and support we are a community that takes care of each other, especially our trans and BIPOC community members under active threat in the United States right now. Our programs like the Nexus Moving Company, Healing Process, Accountability Process, and Arts Department are all funded through donations, memberships, and grants.

 

Where Your Money Goes:

The Nexus Moving Company is a network that allows us to move anything or anyone across the country to places that have a better party vibe for our trans community members. We have safer communities across the country ready to receive trans folks who need a safer place based on the current state of our society. This is only funded through donations.

We are developing the capacity for trans folks fleeing to safer parts of the country to land safely within various communities. This means that we have resources such as food, shelter, community, finances, and possibly work for folk who are seeking sanctuary from dangerous situations. This is currently only funded through donations.

 

It's our belief that these folks deserve more than just basic necessities, but also the ability to heal through creating art and finding community. We also offer free and discounted tickets to all members of our trans and BIPOC community. This all requires donations so please consider giving to our community.
