Creating a reality, together
Please read everything below if you are still unclear if Nexus is the right community for you. Nexus is a community with the core values of cultural transformation, expression, and support. Our community is creating the reality we want to live in. Through the practice of sexual liberation we get to explore the elements of ourselves that helps us to flourish in our lives, together. In order to practice the depths of our sexual and kinky expression we have build a sacred container of our community. To honor that container and our commitment to each other to uphold the agreements we make we have established a system that helps everyone to understand our identity as a community and hold one another accountable to the agreements we make. At it's core we have a system of tranfomative justice that adheres to the philosophy that creating a system that protects and support those of us who most often exists on the margins we create a safer reality for everyone.

Our Stewards of Community
Nexus is stewarded by a group of queer and trans folks lead by Remy Jackalope (She/they). While Nexus is one of the largest trans run sex positive, kink, immersive arts, and direct action communities in the United States our Stewardship core is still growing. We are actively a community in the early stages focused on creating an intergenerational community that is resilient the genocide. Each of these elements are to what Nexus is and what can in become. This is an inclusive community creating bridges across scenes and culture which is necessary to a strong diverse community. Our community can only function if we are support each other in fundamental ways.
Our Core Values
Cultural Transformation
Cultural Transformation is a practice of existing in a reality that we all know we need, but isn't here right now. It is time for us to protect each other, to do the simple things for one another. Through equitable wealth distribution we all get to live healthier lives that allow us to be more comfortable in our expression. Simply put, we ask how can we do more for each other in a society that seems to continuously trying to be less for those who need the most.
Expression
We strive to be constantly securely express ourselves in authentic ways. In our power we are accountable for our actions and do so bravely knowing the this society often requires perfection from many folks in our community. Here we don't need perfect we just want you to be you.
Support
Somewhere along the way we forgot that things like food, water, shelter are foundational rights. So while some call what we do radical support, really we are just making sure folks in our community can pay the rent. We understand herd immunity and that the immunocompromised people in our community deserve quick and accurate testing systems to support their health. This is why we do rapid PCR testing at our event and ask people to identify harm and genocide in our application. Support means not being a bystander, but taking the risk with love to protect each other.
We aim to be a bright beacon for those searching for a home.
Joining a community is a big decision that takes time. We ask our members to take steps into community at their own pace. To get to know us over time. The concept of community has been oversimplified. To us community is upholding our agreements and caring for each other. When we feel safe, are comfortable, can trust the other folks around us, and know who will be there with us through challenging time we can have more fulfilling sex lives. We can explore the depths of our kinks and create amazing art together. In the Bay Area we live in this privileged realm where there is a new community around every google search. However, when we zoom out even a little bit we see that we all exist on the margins. As such we must protect each other and tend to our community well and by stepping into our power with integrity.
The Realms of Our Community
ShapeShifter's Realm
ShapeShifter's are those of us who hold the complexity of ourselves in many forms. ShapeShifter is also a creature and their realm exists within Nexus. PlayTown exists within that Realm. ShapeShifter creates portals for us to immersive ourselves in so we can explore the magical depths of who we are. To immersive ourselves in sexual and magical reality takes a level of authenticity, intentionality, and security in ourselves while understanding that people are not their actions. To create the portals together we must understand that this is a gift and privilege that must be tended and protected.
Discord
Our digital community lives primarily on signal. That community one of the places where we can connect with each other on a daily basis. Its a place where we can get to know each other and share our lives together through the magic of technology
Creating Art & Transcendence
Fundamentally, we understand that creating art can be a healing experience. So we invite everyone in our community to create as much as possible with us. PlayTown, Transcendence, and ShapeShifter's realm as well as everything else requires the creation of art and by creating sex art we are healing our sexual wounds
